The PMC Motorsport lightweight aluminum flywheel is engineered to seamlessly integrate Toyota JZ 1JZ and 2JZ engines with the Aisin A1 manual gearbox, as found in the Toyota GT86, Subaru BRZ, and Scion FR-S.
This flywheel, with a diameter of 240mm (9.45"), is suitable for both daily driving and motorsport applications. It supports both non VVT-i and VVT-i variants of the Toyota JZ engines.
Installation requires the flywheel/ring gear from the automatic version of the Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ, along with a 4.5mm spacer (OE 32116-22020) between the engine block and the ring gear, which must be sourced separately. The original Toyota 1JZ or 2JZ starter motor is retained.
Included with the flywheel are:
- Clutch cover
- Pressure plate bolts kit
- Crankshaft bolts kit
- Flywheel centering sleeve
- Custom clutch fork pivot pin/ball (30mm)
Constructed from aluminum and cast iron, the flywheel weighs 2.45kg (5.40lbs) and features a replaceable friction surface. The specified torque for the flywheel bolts is 72Nm, with the application of adhesive.
For optimal performance, the recommended clutch pressure plates include:
- BMW E46 M3
- BMW M57n M57n2 Sachs 3000 951 952
- Sachs Performance 88 308 200 1243 / 883082.001243
- Sachs XTend 3000 951 877 (BMW M57)
The appropriate clutch disc is 22.6x25.2 24N (Sachs 1878 005 084), and the use of a dedicated release bearing and clutch fork is necessary for the gearbox.
Manufactured in the EU, this flywheel adheres to the ISO PN-EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, guaranteeing precise alignment between the engine and gearbox. The product is identified by the sales code K0GT-240-JZ (4088).
