The PMC Motorsport aluminum flywheel is engineered to facilitate the integration of the Toyota Lexus V8 UZ 1UZ and 3UZ engines with the Mazda RX-8 transmission system. Featuring a replaceable cast iron friction surface, this flywheel is precision-balanced before dispatch. It is compatible with both the 5-speed and 6-speed manual gearboxes of the Mazda RX-8.

Installation necessitates the use of an adapter to connect the engine to the gearbox, specifically the gearbox adapter model F0RX8-UZ. The setup requires the flywheel/ring gear from the automatic variant, along with a spacer (OE 4.5mm) positioned between the engine block and the flexplate.

Recommended clutch components include:

  • Sachs XTend and Sachs Performance pressure plates
  • Clutch disc from the LUK 624 3297 09 OE kit

Additionally, a clutch slave cylinder that matches your gearbox specifications and a Toyota UZ starter (not included) are essential.

The necessary flexplate/ring gear/drive plate is the Toyota Lexus OE 32101-50010, paired with one spacer OE 32116-50010 of 4.5mm thickness.

Included in the set are:

  • Crankshaft bolts kit
  • Clutch cover - pressure plate bolts kit

Constructed from high-quality aluminum, the flywheel also features a replaceable friction surface. This product is manufactured in the EU and adheres to the PN-EN ISO 9001:2015 standards.

This product is intended for racing use only. DriftParts is not liable for improper installation or misuse.
