The PMC Motorsport Aluminum Short Shifter is engineered for seamless integration into BMW 3 Series E9x and 1 Series E8x models. It is specifically designed to enhance the precision and speed of gear shifting in all manual transmission models equipped with GETRAG and ZF systems, including Getrag 250, 260, 420, and ZF GS6 GS6. Installation is plug-and-play, requiring no modifications to the vehicle's tunnel structure.
Crafted from premium aluminum, this shifter combines durability with lightweight properties and corrosion resistance, ensuring sustained performance and aesthetics. The shifter lever is equipped with an M20x1.5 thread and supports replaceable anodized aluminum knobs.
An adjustable selector rod, available separately, is tailored for gearbox conversions and is compatible with all BMW manual gearboxes, including ZF models GS5-39DZ, GS6-37 DZ/BZ, GS6-53 DZ/BZ, GS6-45 DZ/BZ, and Getrag models 250, 260, 420. This rod allows for customizable length adjustments, enabling compatibility with vehicles undergoing a transition to a BMW manual gearbox. For optimal performance, it is advised to use stiffer gearbox and engine mounts to reduce drivetrain movement.
