The PMC Motorsport custom aluminum flywheel is engineered for compatibility between the Toyota JZ series engines, including both non VVT-i and VVT-i variants (1JZ-FSE, 1JZ-GE, 1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-FSE, 2JZ-GE, and 2JZ-GTE), and the Mazda RX-7 FD gearbox. Constructed with precision from aluminum, the flywheel measures 240mm (9.45 inches) in diameter and weighs 4.6 kg (10.14 lbs).

For optimal performance, it is recommended to utilize clutch pressure plates such as:

The appropriate clutch disc is sourced from the LUK 624 3297 09 OE LUK 324 0430 10 kit.

Installation stipulates the use of the flywheel/ring gear from the automatic version of the Toyota 1JZ or 2JZ engines, integrating a spacer (OE 32116-22020 4.5mm) between the engine block and the ring gear, which must be acquired separately. The original equipment starter from the Toyota JZ engines is retained, while the crankshaft hub bearing (automatic version JZ) should be replaced with a centering sleeve included in the kit.

The flywheel assembly requires a tightening torque of 72Nm, with adhesive application on the flywheel bolts. Included in the set are:

• Crankshaft bolts kit
• Clutch cover-pressure plate bolts kit
• Pipe and tee
• An aluminum adapter for the central slave cylinder
• The central slave cylinder itself

The flywheel features a replaceable friction surface and necessitates the use of a gearbox adapter F0RX7-JZ.
