The PMC Motorsport short shifter is engineered for precise integration with BMW vehicles, specifically the 3 Series E9x and 1 Series E8x across all body configurations. This component is compatible with all manual transmissions from GETRAG and ZF, including models Getrag 250, 260, 420, and ZF GS6 and GS5 series.

The shifter allows for seamless plug-and-play installation without necessitating alterations to the vehicle's tunnel structure. Constructed from high-quality aluminum, the shifter offers durability and a lightweight profile, accompanied by corrosion resistance to maintain both aesthetic and functional integrity over time.

The shifter lever is equipped with an M20x1.5 thread, and optional anodized aluminum knobs are available for customization. Additionally, an adjustable selector rod is available, specifically designed for gearbox swaps. This rod is compatible with all BMW manual gearboxes, including:

• ZF models GS5-39DZ, GS6-37 DZ/BZ, GS6-53 DZ/BZ, GS6-45 DZ/BZ
• Getrag models 250, 260, and 420

This adjustability facilitates its use in vehicles undergoing conversion to a BMW manual gearbox.

For optimal performance, it is recommended that the short shifter be installed by professionals experienced in motorsport applications. To reduce drivetrain movement, the installation of stiffer gearbox and engine mounts is advised. Prior to installation, ensure the gear selector rod is thoroughly cleaned, and the lower bushing of the shifter is properly lubricated with grease.
