The Black Edition self-centering short shifter by PMC Motorsport is engineered for optimal performance with BMW manual transmissions, including all manual GETRAG and ZF gearboxes. It is specifically compatible with:

• Getrag models 250, 260, 420
• ZF models GS5-39DZ, GS6-37 DZ/BZ, GS6-53 DZ/BZ, GS6-45 DZ/BZ

Constructed from high-quality aluminum, this shifter offers durability and lightness, with corrosion-resistant properties ensuring sustained aesthetic and functional integrity.

The shifter features self-lubricating bushings designed to minimize friction, providing smooth operational performance. A centering spring is integrated to automatically position the lever in the 3-4 gear plane, facilitating quick and precise gear shifts.

Safety and driving comfort are enhanced by an extreme gear lock mechanism, which prevents accidental engagement of extreme gears (1, 2, 5, 6). Additionally, the ergonomic reverse gear latch aids in easier engagement, improving vehicle control.

The shifter lever is equipped with an M20x1.5 thread, accommodating replaceable anodized aluminum knobs. For those undertaking gearbox swaps, an adjustable selector/gear shift rod is available separately.

Installation is recommended to be carried out by professionals, and for optimal performance, stiffer gearbox and engine mounts should be considered to reduce drivetrain movement. Prior to installation, thorough cleaning of the gear selector rod is advised.
