This precision-engineered PMC Motorsport aluminum oil filter cover is compatible with BMW M52, M54, and M56 engines, providing an efficient solution for monitoring oil parameters. The cover facilitates the installation of the original oil filter and accommodates two additional sensor ports, suitable for devices such as oil temperature or oil pressure sensors. The sensor port thread specification is 1/8NPT.

This component serves as a direct tuning replacement for the BMW OE part numbers 11 42 1 744 000 and 11 42 1744000. It is designed to fit seamlessly onto the BMW OE base/bracket numbers 11 42 1 738 639 and 11 42 1 738 640. Additionally, the cover can be adapted for use in BMW M50 engines by replacing the base with those from the M52, M54, or M56 series (P&P).

For optimal maintenance, it is recommended that the oil filter be replaced with an OE or equivalent replacement filter and accompanied by an additional plastic basket.
