The PMC Motorsport Aluminum Short Shifter is engineered for precise and rapid gear shifting in BMW 3er E9x and 1er E8x models, applicable across all body types. It is compatible with manual transmission models from GETRAG and ZF, specifically including Getrag 250, 260, 420, and ZF5 GS6 GS6.

This shifter is Plug & Play (P&P) compatible, requiring no modifications to the vehicle’s tunnel structure for installation. Constructed from high-grade aluminum, the shifter is both lightweight and corrosion-resistant, ensuring durability and sustained performance. It includes an anodized aluminum knob with an M20x1.5 thread, which is replaceable.

An adjustable selector rod is offered separately, facilitating gearbox swaps and compatible with all BMW manual gearboxes, including:

• ZF models: GS5-39DZ, GS6-37 DZ/BZ, GS6-53 DZ/BZ, GS6-45 DZ/BZ
• Getrag models: 250, 260, 420

This rod is designed for length adjustment, providing adaptability for vehicles undergoing conversion to a BMW manual gearbox. Installation is recommended to be performed by professionals, with stiffer gearbox and engine mounts advised to reduce drivetrain movement.

Prior to installation, ensure the gear selector rod is cleaned thoroughly and the shifter’s lower bushing is lubricated with grease.
