The PMC Motorsport Drift Stage 1 performance clutch kit is engineered for BMW engines M50, M52, and M54, and is compatible with ZF and Getrag 5-speed manual transmissions. This kit comprises an organic disc Sachs 1864 098 132 and a pressure plate without self-adjusters.

The lightweight flywheel, with a mass of 5700g (12.9lb), enhances throttle response and acceleration, making it particularly advantageous for motorsport environments such as drifting and time attack. It is approximately 70% lighter than the original dual-mass flywheel, effectively reducing drivetrain losses and optimizing power delivery to the wheels.

The kit is suitable for a range of BMW models, including:

• E36 328i
• M3 USA
• E46 328i, 328ci, 330i
• E34 525i (M50)
• E39 525i (M54), 528i (M52), 530i (M54)
• Z3 2.8i (M52), 3.0i (M54)

The transmission has a weight of approximately 39 kg (86 lb) and features an input shaft specification of 23x29-10N. The gear ratios for the ZF Friedrichshafen ZF-5 (ZF 5) S5D-310 S5D-320 are:

• 1st: 4.21
• 2nd: 2.49
• 3rd: 1.67
• 4th: 1.24
• 5th: 1.0
• Reverse: 3.85

While designed with motorsport use in mind, the clutch kit is also suitable for daily driving. It ensures precise alignment between the engine and gearbox, and all components are manufactured within the EU, adhering to ISO PN-EN ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.

The kit includes a clutch release module; however, a dedicated module may be necessary for certain BMW GETRAG transmissions. Notably, the flywheel is incompatible with the BMW M54 6-speed gearbox.

The clutch set incorporates:

• M57 pressure plate
• 240mm (9.45") diameter friction plate
• Release bearing
• Clutch fork essential for installation

It supports a maximum torque capacity of 650Nm (479.25 lb⋅ft). The components within this kit are available for separate purchase if required.
