Vertical hydraulic handbrake with removable lever BMW F2X F3X F8X

ReverseLab vertical hydraulic handbrake with removable lever, designed for all BMW F2X, F3X and F8X models.

The product is compatible with both left-hand-drive (LHD) and right-hand-drive (RHD) vehicles. The vertical lever is positioned between the steering wheel and the gear knob, allowing the driver to operate the handbrake quickly during performance driving.

The kit uses the vehicle’s original body mounting holes and requires no welding, drilling or additional mounting points. Its structure is designed to minimise changes to the original interior trim and can be concealed beneath the centre-console plastics.

The lever can be unscrewed and removed quickly, making the handbrake unobtrusive when it is not in use.

The base includes the mounting points required to position the handbrake body correctly in both LHD and RHD vehicles. The configuration is selected physically during installation and is not a commercial product combination.

The kit includes:

Choosing the master-cylinder bore:

• IRP 0.625": recommended for vehicles with a single-piston 42 mm rear caliper. Indicative lever travel is approximately 8 cm
• IRP or Wilwood 0.7": recommended for vehicles with a twin-piston 44 mm rear caliper. Indicative lever travel is approximately 8 cm
• Wilwood 0.75": suitable for twin-piston 44 mm rear calipers when a shorter lever travel is required, approximately 6.5 cm, with greater operating force

Using a master cylinder that is unsuitable for the rear-caliper configuration may prevent the system from operating correctly. Check the installed caliper type before ordering.

The body is prepared for the optional installation of a dedicated electronic ABS-control kit. The electronic kit, wiring and any switches are not included.

Note for BMW M2, M3 and M4: when the handbrake is connected to the original braking system while retaining active ABS, an additional electronic differential controller may also be required. Without this controller, the differential may not lock correctly when the handbrake is operated.
