The flywheel, crafted from aluminum and cast iron, features a replaceable friction surface and necessitates a ring gear/flywheel from a BMW V8 M60 automatic transmission, which is not included. The flywheel is pre-balanced prior to dispatch.

Installation requires a dedicated release bearing and clutch slave cylinder. The appropriate starter is BMW M60 M62 OE 12 41 1 729 981 or BMW M60 M62 OE 12 41 1 736 921. The required flexplate/ring gear is BMW M60 V8 OE 11 22 1 747 843 or BMW M60 V8 OE 11 22 1 715 646.
